Speech Pathologist – Flexible Role | Parramatta (Current) + Western Sydney Expansion
$95,000 – $115,000 (pro-rata) + Salary Packaging | Part-time to Full-time
Join a multidisciplinary team driving real outcomes.
Ability Advocates is entering a major growth phase across Western Sydney. We are currently based in Parramatta, with new offices opening in Blacktown (July) and Liverpool (October). We are expanding our allied health team to meet growing demand.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Speech Pathologist who wants more than a standard clinic-based role — someone interested in delivering meaningful outcomes across therapy, independence, and real-world participation. Flexible permanent roles available from 1 day per week to full-time.
Model: This is not a high-volume therapy role. You will work within a multidisciplinary, outcome-focused environment integrating speech pathology, occupational therapy, psychology, employment and community programs, and behaviour support pathways.
Key Focus Areas
Functional communication in real-life settings
Participation across home, community, and workplace
Long-term outcomes — not session-based throughput
Responsibilities
Conduct assessments and deliver therapy across diverse presentations
Work across Parramatta (current site) with opportunities in Blacktown and Liverpool
Deliver services across clinic, community, and (where appropriate) workplace settings
Provide support across speech, language, communication, social communication and pragmatic skills, AAC and functional communication supports
Work with children, young people and adults (based on your preference)
Contribute to outcome-based planning aligned to NDIS goals
Collaborate closely with OTs, psychologists and allied health assistants
Support real-world outcomes including independence, inclusion and employment participation

What Sets This Role Apart
Versatile permanent employment model – 1 day/week to full-time
Salary aligned to experience (pro-rata)
$95,000 – $115,000 + superannuation, established Parramatta base with Western Sydney expansion
Varied caseload – not limited to repetitive paediatric therapy
True multidisciplinary model – integrated, not siloed
Focus on real outcomes – beyond the therapy room
Strong admin support – no chasing bookings or billing
Opportunities to contribute to program development and innovation
Leadership pathways – senior clinician and team lead roles
About You
A qualified Speech Pathologist (SPA eligible or registered)
Experienced in disability, NDIS or community-based settings
Confident in assessment, intervention and clinical reasoning
Comfortable working across home, community and team-based environments
Interested in delivering meaningful, functional outcomes
Open to multidisciplinary collaboration
Desirable
Experience with AAC and complex communication needs
Experience in neurodiversity, autism or psychosocial disability
NDIS reporting and plan review experience
Interest in working across life stages (not just paediatrics)
Interest in program development or innovation
About Ability Advocates
Allied health services, employment and transition programs, disability support and advocacy
We operate across Parramatta and Western Sydney, supporting people with disability through integrated services that connect therapy, community participation, and employment outcomes.
Benefits
Multidisciplinary work environment
Flexibility in hours and locations
Key role in shaping outcomes and program innovation
Leadership career path for senior clinicians
Apply
If you are looking for a role that offers flexibility, variety, and meaningful impact beyond traditional therapy models, we would love to hear from you.
