We're looking for a highly organised and commercially aware Production Planner to join our manufacturing team in Bella Vista.
About You
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, this role is critical in ensuring our production plans are realistic, capacity-aligned and set up for success, enabling on time delivery while maintaining operational stability.
You'll sit at the centre of our operations, translating customer demand into executable production schedules that balance labour, materials, equipment, and compliance requirements.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Production Planning & Scheduling
Develop short, medium, and long-term production schedules aligned to capacity, labour, and equipment
Translate sales orders and forecasts into achievable production plans
Sequence work to optimise efficiency, minimise downtime, and meet quality standards
Adjust plans in response to changing priorities, material availability, or operational constraints
ERP & Reporting
Maintain accurate schedules and capacity data within the ERP system
Create and release production jobs
Monitor schedule adherence, utilisation, and delivery performance
Provide clear updates on production status, risks, and recovery actions
Stakeholder Coordination
Work closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Account teams
Communicate plans, changes, and risks clearly across the business
Support customer delivery expectations with accurate timelines and updates
Capacity & Risk Management
Identify capacity constraints and production risks early
Escalate issues with clear data and proposed solutions
Support cross-functional problem solving to maintain delivery performance
Qualifications & Experience
Tertiary qualification in Engineering or a related discipline
Minimum 5-7 years' experience in a Production Planning or Scheduling role
Experience within electronics manufacturing (PCBA highly regarded)
Strong understanding of the relationship between customer expectations, purchasing constraints, and manufacturing processes
Demonstrated experience in production planning within a high-mix manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of PCBA processes including SMT, through-hole, testing, and box build
Proven ability to balance customer demand with capacity, labour, materials, and equipment
Advanced experience using ERP/MRP systems for scheduling, job creation, and capacity planning
High attention to detail with a strong focus on data accuracy and planning discipline
Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with the ability to adapt quickly to change
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
