ABOUT THE TEAM
Anduril is fielding the next generation of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) to tackle the extremely challenging demands of subsea exploration. Anduril has brought to market a unique, long-range maritime vehicle leveraging a adaptable manufacturing architecture that scales from "large" to "extra-large" vehicle sizes. Today, Anduril is executing on existing contracts while simultaneously developing future capability across its product range.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Mechanical Technician to join our growing team in Sydney. In this role, you will work on cutting-edge technology advancing subsea robotics and play a key role in delivering our AUVs to our customers. Working in a multi-disciplinary environment to scale our AUV production system, this role will involve assembling complex electro-mechanical assemblies and integrating them into the final product to be ready for service!
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Build, test, and integrate complex mechanical assemblies into our world class products
Build test and manufacturing facilities, provide input to processes and practices
Fabricate manufacturing jigs, fixtures and equipment to improve build efficiency
Provide direct input and feedback to the engineering team on DFM/A
Interact with digital ERP system for work order tracking, inventory management, and quality reporting
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years experience in technician roles having worked in a similar environment (Automotive, Aircraft, Maritime, etc.)
Proficiency in interpreting technical documentation (mechanical drawings, work instructions.
Part fabrication skills including plastic/metal machining and additive manufacturing
Experience performing functional checkouts and tests
Competent with risk assessment and hazard mitigation activities including documentation
Extremely organized and detail-oriented
A sincere commitment to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture
Ability to obtain and maintain a NV2 Security Clearance
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
