Role Description
The Lawyer will provide commercial legal advice to clients across sectors such as property development, construction, mining, and IT, handling matters for start-ups, SMEs, and larger organisations. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting and reviewing contracts and other legal documents, conducting legal research, advising on risk management and compliance, and supporting clients in structuring transactions and projects. The role involves managing files, preparing correspondence, negotiating with counterparties,



and collaborating closely with senior lawyers to deliver practical, business-focused solutions. The Lawyer will also help build and maintain robust client relationships by providing clear guidance, participating in client meetings, and contributing to client education initiatives. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Brisbane, QLD, with a mix of in-office work and some work from home.
Qualifications
Admission as a Lawyer in Australia, with a current practising certificate (or eligibility to obtain one).
Experience in commercial law, ideally in areas such as property development, construction, mining, IT, or general commercial contracts.
Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex legal issues into practical advice.
Demonstrated ability to draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other commercial legal documents with attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including clear client-facing communication and professional correspondence.
Ability to manage multiple matters, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic practice environment.
Team-oriented mindset, with a collaborative working style and the ability to build trusted relationships with colleagues and clients.
Experience working with start-ups, SMEs, or multinational businesses is advantageous.
