Working as part of a large, experienced estimating team, you will be responsible for preparing accurate site costs, variations, tenders and production orders while working closely with suppliers, supervisors and internal stakeholders.
Candidates with experience in either Sales or Production Estimating who are eager to learn the other side of the business are strongly encouraged to apply.Responsibilities IncludePreparing sales estimates including site costs, variations and tender pricingCompleting production estimating and preparing orders for constructionReviewing architectural and engineering drawings and specificationsPreparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and take-offsLiaising with architects, engineers, construction supervisors, contractors and suppliersObtaining and reviewing supplier quotationsManaging supplier allocations based on pricing, quality and capacityPreparing margin reports and identifying pricing variancesMaintaining estimating databases,



assemblies and price files to ensure pricing accuracyCompleting in office measures and quantity take-offs where requiredAssisting with supplier negotiations and maintaining strong supplier relationshipsResponding to estimating queries from internal stakeholders in a timely mannerEnsuring all estimates comply with relevant Australian Standards, NCC requirements and company specificationsAbout YouYou will be an Estimator with a minimum of 2-3 years' experience working within the volume home building industry.
You may come from either a Sales Estimating or Production Estimating background and be looking to expand your knowledge across both disciplines.To Be Successful, You Will PossessMinimum 2-3 years' experience as an Estimator within a volume home builderExperience in either Sales Estimating or Production Estimating, with a willingness to learn both disciplinesAbility to read and interpret residential building plans, specifications and tender documentationStrong mathematical ability and excellent attention to detailExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesCertificate IV in Building & Construction or similar qualifications will be highly regarded but are not essentialA proactive attitude with a genuine desire to learn and develop your estimating careerWhy JoinThis is an outstanding opportunity to join one of Australia's leading residential builders, recognised for its quality, stability and commitment to employee development.
