We are seeking 2 Visitor Experience Specialist to be the welcoming face of the Hervey Bay Community Hub, providing frontline concierge, security and building support services.
In this diverse role, you'll assist visitors, support building operations, respond to incidents and emergencies, and help ensure a safe, professional and welcoming environment for our community.
Working within the Property Works and Services team, you'll engage with a wide range of people while contributing to the smooth day-to-day operation of one of Council's key public facilities.What Your Day Will Look LikeWelcome visitors and provide wayfinding, information and building access supportMonitor visitor behaviour and assist with managing challenging situations using de-escalation techniquesConduct building patrols and support security and public safety proceduresAssist with parking oversight and routine building operational activitiesRespond to emergencies, including evacuation support, first aid and incident responseMaintain knowledge of building services,



programs and procedures to enhance visitor experiencesWhat You'll Need For SuccessCPP***** Certificate II in Security Operations or similarCurrent First Aid CertificateCurrent Blue CardValid Queensland Class C or CA Driver LicenceAbility to manage challenging behaviours and apply effective de-escalation techniquesKnowledge of security procedures, building access protocols and routine patrol practicesStrong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused approachAbility to work independently and exercise sound judgement in agile situationsWhat's Nice To HaveDemonstrated experience in customer service, concierge or visitor-facing environmentsDiploma (AQF 5) or higher qualification in security, customer experience or a related fieldExperience working in community facilities, public venues or similar environmentsWe understand that not all candidates will meet every selection criterion.
