Job Description
SGS is seeking a reliable and detail-focused Laboratory Assistant to join our Shepparton team on a full-time basis.
This hands‐on role will support testing, sample receipt and laboratory operations, helping ensure accurate results are delivered on time and in line with SGS quality and safety standards.

What you will be doing
Perform laboratory analysis in line with SGS methods, procedures and quality requirements.
Support sample reception, bottle preparation, testing activities and general laboratory workflow.
Carry out quality control checks, instrument calibrations and accurate record keeping.
Assist with sample pick‐ups and drop‐offs for key clients when required.
Represent SGS professionally on site and during client visits.
Work collaboratively with the Shepparton team to ensure analysis and data are completed by required due dates.
Contribute to a safe, organised and compliant workplace by following SGS quality, health, safety and environmental procedures.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a laboratory environment is desirable, but not essential.
Organised, reliable and comfortable working as part of a team.
Good attention to detail and able to record information clearly and accurately.




Effective communication skills and take a proactive approach to supporting others.
Can understand and follow technical procedures, safety requirements and quality processes.
A valid Victorian full driver's licence is required.
