The Role
QEST Infrastructure established a new depot in Luscombe Queensland in late ****, with a growing team and fleet, we have an exciting chance for a Fleet Manager – QLD to join the team in a newly role.
The Fleet Manager – QLD will work in with the Queensland leadership and Operations team, whilst being supported by a larger Fleet and Equipment team based in Geelong, Victoria.
This role is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day management of our Queensland fleet operations, ensuring maximum fleet availability, safety, compliance and cost efficiency goals are achieved.
In particular, this roll will focus on:
Coordinate fleet maintenance, servicing, inspections and repairs through a third party to ensure vehicles remain safe, compliant and operational.
Work in with Operations to ensure vehicle availability meets operational requirements and service standards.
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislative, regulatory and company requirements, including HVNL, Chain of Responsibility (CoR), registration and roadworthiness obligations.
Maintain the accuracy and integrity of fleet systems, records and documentation, supporting the adoption of fleet technologies and digital tools.
Budgeting & Procurement:support budget management, manage fuel card programs, and oversee lifecycle asset planning
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers and service providers to deliver effective fleet outcomes.
Identify operational risks, compliance issues and opportunities for continuous improvement.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
5+ years in a similar fleet management/ programmed maintenance role.
A mechanical background in Heavy Machinery
Sound knowledge of Australian transport legislation, including Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements.
A strong focus on safety, compliance and operational performance.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to build positive relationships with a range of stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, make sound decisions and deliver results in a fast-paced operational environment.
Ability to pass pre-employment medical and pass any/all random drug and alcohol tests.
