This performance and the strength of the portfolio underpin the Company's purpose of growing long-term value for shareholders, our people, and our communities by mining safely and responsibly.The opportunityWe are looking for an experienced Underground Mine Planning Engineer to join the team at our Duketon underground operations.Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer, this key role ensures the operations team can successfully meet business objectives by delivering detailed and practical high‐quality planning, scheduling, and reporting support.This is a FIFO role, working on an 8:6 roster (ex-Perth).
The main responsibilities of this role include:Prepare and present mine development plans including level layouts, decline, escapeways and ventilation to meet LOM requirementsDevelop,



compare, and rank multiple mining strategies in collaboration with Senior Mine Geologists and under the direction of the Technical Services ManagerProduce mining schedules in accordance with each strategy, including quarterly and Life-of-Mine (LOM) forecastsBased on the optimised mine strategy, produce and present the full LOM plan and schedules on a quarterly basisCommunicate the LOM plan to all relevant personnel to ensure awareness of future targets and operational directionsUpdate and maintain mine planning and design procedures for all tasks performed within the Engineering teamIdentify and report any issues or risks in mine development, and create systems to improve planning methodsUpdate all mining costs quarterly, using a 12-month rolling average based on actualsReview economic evaluations for each mine design completed within the Engineering Team to ensure financial objectives are met and material meets determined cut-off gradesIdentify opportunities for cost savings during the mine design process and assist in preparing the yearly mining budgetAbout youTo be successful for this role,
