Aboutthe Role
Reporting to the Manager Waste Services, youwill play a key role in supporting the administration, compliance,and effective management of waste services contracts across theCity.
This diverseposition combines contract administration, stakeholder engagement,procurement governance, compliance monitoring, and continuousimprovement.
Working closely with internal stakeholders,contractors, suppliers, and the community, you will help ensurewaste service contracts are managed effectively and deliverhigh-quality outcomes for residents.
Theposition's key responsibilities are:
Supportthe administration and performance monitoring of waste servicescontracts.
Facilitate quotation,contract variation, extension, and complianceprocesses.
Investigate contractualmatters and provide recommendations for resolution.
Provideadvice and support to internal stakeholders on contractmanagement activities.
Maintainaccurate contract registers, databases, records, and businesssystems.
Liaisewith customers, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders toresolve enquiries and issues.
Assistwith contract audits and compliance activities.
Identifyopportunities for business improvement and enhanced servicedelivery.
Supportthe development and delivery of contract management processes,procedures, and training.
Aboutyou
You are a highly organised and customer-focusedprofessional who enjoys working with a broad range of stakeholdersand takes pride in delivering accurate, compliant, and high-qualityoutcomes.
You would be adaptable, ready to take on a challenge andbe able to demonstrate the below requirements:
Qualification (orworking towards a qualification) in relevant discipline such asProcurement and Contracts Management, or you have relevantexperience.
Knowledge of procurementand contract management principles and practices.
Experience usingcontract management systems (Open Windows experience Will behighly regarded).
Demonstrated experiencein the effective utilisation of information systems andtechnology to support contract administration, reporting, andrecord management.
Strongorganisational skills and the ability to manage competingpriorities.
Excellent customerservice, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Well-developed research,analysis, negotiation, and influencing abilities.
Soundknowledge of workplace health and safetyprinciples.
