Job Description
Little Bodies Therapy is seeking a new Occupational Therapist to join their team on either a part-time or full-time basis ******** FTE).
Little Bodies Therapy is a multi-disciplinary therapy provider that offers fun, holistic therapy services for babies, children, and teens. Therapy services offered include physiotherapy, occupational therapy and exercise physiology. We primarily work with children and young people with neurological and physical disabilities in particular cerebral palsy and neurodevelopment disorders; in addition to other diagnoses including autism, ADHD, genetic conditions, developmental delay/intellectual disability, and learning and behavioural difficulties. Little Bodies Therapy appointments are offered in a weekly, fortnightly, monthly drop-in, or intensive format as required to achieve the client's goals.

About the Role
As an occupational therapist at Little Bodies Therapy you will deliver holistic therapy services to children and their families in a collaborative, evidence-based, and effective manner. Our occupational therapists are expected to work actively with the team around the child, including the child's family, other therapists, medical professionals and educators.
Therapy services are primarily delivered in a clinic setting however, infrequent community visits also occur including the child's home , equipment suppliers, or school. In this role you are an integral member of the multi-disciplinary therapy team and are responsible in promoting evidence-based practice, managing your caseload, and liaising with senior therapists with strategies to provide gold-standard therapy intervention to your clients.

Work with the child and their family to help achieve their individual goals.
Participate in ongoing professional development.
Demonstrate effective and appropriate skills in communicating information and professional advice to clients, their families, educators, and carers.
Undertake thorough and detailed clinical assessment.
Formulate and deliver individual occupational therapy intervention using clinical reasoning skills and evidence based practice.
Use a range of verbal and non-verbal communication methods to progress rehabilitation and treatment programs.
Liaise with external stakeholders including NDIS, other disability service providers, equipment suppliers, and health professionals.
Essential Criteria
Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent tertiary qualification essential.
Registration with the Occupational Therapy Registration Board (AHPRA).
Experience in Paediatric Occupational Therapy desirable but not essential.
Other Criteria
Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance.
Current Working with Children Check.
Current CPR certificate.
National Police Clearance certificate (no older than 6-months).
Current Drivers License and a reliable, insured car.
Desirable Requirements
Experience delivering assessment and therapy services within a clinic, home, or community setting.
Experience with administration and interpretation of standardised assessments.
Experience developing client and family centered SMART goals and intervention plans.
Experience working in a multidisciplinary team.
Experience working with families with complex challenges and liaising with a range of government departments.
Passionate about guiding children with different abilities to be their very best selves.
Friendly, outgoing personality and strong work ethic.
Exceptional communication skills.
Competence with desk and portable technology including cloud-based admin and client management systems.
