Full-time role | Complete Work from home | Australian Citizen | NV1 / NV2 Clearance RequiredThe SAP RISE Acceleration Program (RAP) Technical Architect plays a pivotal role in accelerating SAP RISE adoption on Microsoft Azure for strategic enterprise customers. This role sits within a joint Microsoft-SAP ECS initiative focused on simplifying and streamlining SAP RISE onboarding through structured, expert-led engagement phases.As a key member of the Cloud Factory, the Technical Architect leads technical workshops, conducts architecture assessments, delivers solution recommendations, and supports implementation activities aligned with Microsoft Proactive Services (MPS).
Key Responsibilities
Azure & SAP RISE Architecture
Lead Azure tenant integration assessments and provide recommendations aligned with Microsoft and SAP best practices.
Drive solution design for RFPs using the Azure Well-Architected Framework and lead technical discussions with customers.
Conduct end-to-end architecture reviews of existing customer Azure environments to enhance SAP RISE integration, performance, and reliability.
Networking, Identity & Security
Advise customers on networking architecture including ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, DNS, and hub-spoke topologies for cross-tenant SAP RISE connectivity.
Implement secure identity and access management using Microsoft Entra, including RBAC, SSO, and integration with SAP applications.
Provide security and compliance design guidance, including Microsoft Sentinel integration and adherence to organizational governance standards.




Implementation & Delivery
Deploy Azure landing zones using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Bicep) for SAP workloads, covering policy enforcement, monitoring, security, and operational integration.
Guide customers on secure, high-performance connectivity between SAP RISE and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
Stakeholder Engagement & Documentation
Collaborate with customers, partners, and internal teams to provide expert architectural recommendations that support strategic decision-making.
Develop high-quality technical documentation including solution designs, high-level designs, assessment reports, and customer-facing presentations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience in Azure architecture and SAP Basis deployments on Azure.
Strong knowledge of Azure networking, identity, security, and governance.
Solid understanding of SAP RISE architecture and operational models.
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, Ansible, and Bicep.
Proficiency with Microsoft Entra, Azure Sentinel, and Azure Policy.
SAP Basis experience.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Relevant Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-900, AZ-305, AZ-500).
