– Bunbury WAThe South West Academy of Sport (SWAS) is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Project Officer (fixed-term contract) to join our growing team and play a leading role in supporting talented athletes across the South West, Western Australia.SWAS provides high-quality athlete support services, aligned to the Peak Sporting bodies, increasing opportunities for athletes to thrive and develop on pathways.
The Academy currently supports athletes from more than 15 sports and continues to expand its athlete services and pathway partnerships.About the Role:This newly created role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the ongoing growth of the Academy by leading strategic projects that strengthen athlete pathways, build partnerships and enhance opportunities for regional athletes.The initial focus of the role will be leading the development and implementation of the WA Regional Para Pathways Strategy in partnership with the Western Australian Institute of Sport (WAIS) and the Peel Regional Academy of Sport (PRAS).
Working collaboratively with regional stakeholders, you will help create a more connected and inclusive sporting system and improve opportunities for athletes with disability throughout regional Western Australia.As part of the SWAS team, you will also contribute to the development and delivery of existing and future projects.If you're passionate about creating opportunities through sport, building strong relationships and delivering meaningful projects that make a lasting impact,



we'd love to hear from you.Key ResponsibilitiesYou will:Lead the development and implementation of the WA Regional Para Pathways Strategy.Coordinate strategic projects that align with SWAS priorities.Develop partnerships with sporting organisations, schools, disability organisations, local government and community stakeholders.Coordinate meetings, workshops and engagement activities.Develop governance resources, operational procedures and project documentation.Assist with grant-funded initiatives and new project opportunities.Monitor project outcomes and prepare reports for funding partners.Represent SWAS across regional Western Australia.Selection CriteriaDemonstrated experience coordinating projects or programs.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Solid organisational and time management skills.Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities.Experience preparing reports, policies or strategic documents.Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office.Current Driver's Licence.Current Working with Children checkExperience within sport, recreation or community development.Knowledge of athlete pathways or high-performance sport.Understanding of Para programs and pathwaysExperience working with grants or government-funded projects.What we offer?
