Parental Leave Position to May **** | Part Time (5 days per fortnight)Mount Annan Christian College is seeking an appropriately qualified and experienced Payroll Officer to join our Finance team on a part time parental leave contract through to May ****.
The successful applicant will demonstrate a genuine commitment to their Christian faith, through regular attendance and active involvement in their local Church.Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of the College's fortnightly payroll and salary packaging arrangements.Key responsibilities:Management of the end-to-end fortnightly payroll through Xero and salary packaging processing through SouthgateProcessing timesheets and payroll forms in a timely mannerMaintain accurate payroll records including salary packaging, allowances, increment increases, commencements, terminations, leave entitlements and other relevant informationBalancing and reconciling fortnightly payroll outputs each fortnightInterpreting and applying the terms and conditions in the Independent Schools NSW Teachers (Hybrid) and (Support and Operational Staff)



Multi-Enterprise Agreements **** and relevant payroll policies and proceduresProviding superannuation administration to ensure payroll processes are compliant with relevant legislationProcessing PAYG monthly and statutory payments and process payroll end of month procedures, including data entry of journal entriesGenerating payroll reports as required by managementGeneral:Interacting with staff at all levels of the College in a timely manner to resolve pay issuesAssist the Finance Manager and senior leaders with ad hoc projects, reporting and administrative activities as required.Our ideal candidate will have:Minimum 3 years' experience in a payroll-related role.Experience processing high-volume payrolls.Sound understanding of payroll legislation, regulations and compliance requirements.Demonstrated experience interpreting Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBAs) or Industrial Awards.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.A proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements.Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.DesirablePrevious experience within a school environmentExperience using Xero payrollCurrent First Aid certificateEssential Requirements:A current Working With Children Check (WWCC).
A demonstrated commitment to the Christian faith, evidenced through regular church attendance and involvement.
