This role is ideal for someone who has a couple of years' experience contributing to project delivery and is looking to deepen their systems engineering capability across complex defence programs.
You'll work closely with multidisciplinary teams to support the development, integration, and verification of systems, while continuing to build your technical and professional skillset.Primary DutiesSupport the establishment, management, and control of system requirementsMaintain traceability between requirements, system design, and verification activitiesContribute to baseline management (FBL, ABL, PBL) and configuration control processesAssist in ensuring alignment between Mission and Support System requirementsUndertake systems engineering activities including requirements analysis, integration, verification and validationSupport trade studies, engineering reviews, and system-level assessmentsContribute to the preparation and delivery of Engineering documentation (DIDs)Assist in identifying, tracking, and mitigating project risksCollaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver quality engineering outcomesSupport continuous improvement of systems engineering practices across projectsQualificationsMandatoryBachelor's degree in Engineering (Systems, Mechanical, Electrical,



Mechatronics or similar)Progress towards Engineers Australia membership or Chartered statusExperienceApproximately 2–4 years of engineering experience, including involvement in project deliveryExposure to systems engineering principles within a project or product environmentExperience working across requirements, design, integration, or testing phases of a projectDefence sector experience is advantageous but not essentialFamiliarity with tools such as DOORS, Enovia, or system modelling tools is beneficialSkills and Key AttributesDemonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilityAbility to contribute to project outcomes and manage assigned tasks effectivelyStrong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teamsDeveloping stakeholder engagement skills with a team-oriented mindsetOrganised, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlinesEagerness to continue learning and growing in systems engineeringComfortable working in a distributed team environmentTo be successful in this role, you will need to:Be an Australian Citizen.
