IM Partners is proud to be recruiting on behalf of Total Project Australia, a growing commercial construction company delivering projects throughout Central Australia and remote communities.
This isn't a role where you'll simply maintain compliance.
We're looking for a WHS & Compliance Manager who wants to build capability, influence safety culture, partner with operational teams and leave the business stronger than they found it.
If you're someone who enjoys being in the field, working alongside project teams, solving problems before they become incidents and creating practical systems that people actually use, we'd love to hear from you.
You'll work directly with senior leadership and project teams to shape the company's safety culture while continually improving systems across a growing business.
This role offers genuine autonomy, variety and the opportunity to influence how safety and compliance are managed across multiple construction projects.
Depending on your circumstances, the role can be based in:
Alice Springs (preferred)Adelaide, with regular travel to Alice Springs and project sites
What You'll Be Responsible For
You'll take ownership of the company's WHS and compliance framework across all operations, including:
Leading and continually improving the WHS Management SystemConducting site inspections, audits and compliance reviewsProviding practical safety advice to Project Managers and site teamsManaging subcontractor prequalification and ongoing complianceLeading incident investigations and driving corrective actionsMaintaining compliance registers, licences and training recordsSupporting ISO-aligned management systems and continual improvement initiativesWorking closely with operational leaders to strengthen safety culture across the business
You'll likely bring:
Minimum 5 years' WHS experience within construction, civil, infrastructure or miningCertificate IV in Work Health & SafetyStrong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and Codes of PracticeExperience conducting audits, inspections and incident investigationsExperience managing subcontractor compliance across multiple projectsExcellent communication and report writing skillsStrong computer skills and experience with digital management systemsWhite Card and unrestricted Australian Driver's LicenceWillingness to travel to project sites across Australia
