Gemco Rail specialises in the manufacture, maintenance and overhaul of wagons, locomotives, passenger cars, rollingstock components and track maintenance equipement to support our customers to maintain their operations effectively and efficiently and maximise the life of their assets.About The Role We now have an exciting opportunity for experienced Mechnical Fitter to join the team on a full-time basis based in Forrestfield, Western Australia.Key ResponsibilitiesManufacture products with a high degree of skill and abide by customer contract specificationsEnsure works are completed within the time allowed at the required quality and quantityEnsure that all work undertaken complies with company Quality Assurance procedures and workmanship standardsTake responsibility for the output and quality of work performedEnsure all documentation and certification is completed correctlyDisplay safe work practices, sound problem-solving skills, and demonstrate initiativeDemonstrate sound machining skillsWork both unsupervised and part of a team, adhering to strict deadlinesPerform general fitting dutiesParticipate in rail industry-specific safe work trainingEssential Knowledge, Skills and ExperienceBe trade qualified as a mechanical fitter / Machinist.Have a C-Class driver's licenceHave a current Forklift HRWLDesirable Knowledge, Skills And ExperiencesExperience in the rail industry,
