We are seeking an experienced Light Machinery Technician to join our site-based Maintenance team, overseeing the maintenance of the Karara mobile fleet, plant machinery, and ancillary equipment.
This position operates on an 8 days on and 6 days off roster.
To be successful in the role, the following is essential:
Trade qualification as a LV Mechanic (HD Mechanic preferred)WA C Class Drivers LicenceSkid steer ticket, Loader ticket, Excavator ticket, EWP ticket, Forklift Ticket (desirable)Demonstrated experience working in a mechanical role in a mineral processing environmentProven understanding of mining safety standards, including permit systems and risk management toolsProficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite and SAPNational Police clearance

Key Duties (but not limited to) :-
Maintain mobile fleet and equipment to high safety, operational, and manufacturer standardsCollaborate with Parts Coordinator to ensure critical parts are stocked for timely repairsKeep the Light Machinery workshop compliant with safety, environmental, and storage standardsUse CMMS to plan, record, and manage maintenance activitiesIdentify opportunities to improve reliability and reduce costsMonitor and communicate LV downtime impacting safety, workplace, or operationsPrioritize repairs to minimize disruptions while meeting safety standardsEngage with operations to enhance equipment reliabilityDevelop strategies to improve reliability and achieve cost savings
