Design Manager – High Voltage, Data Centres At Goodman:
Day-to-day
Manage the technical studies and submissions for grid connection, and the specification of the DBO scope for transmission connection and transformation to 132kVManage the DBO design process through interfaces, operational requirements and conformance inspections during constructionLead consultants and the general contractor on transformation to *****kV and site reticulation between primary and secondary MV switchboardsSet and maintain the basis of design, technical standards and coordination processes across projectsAct as the HV/MV design interface for utilities, authorities, vendors, consultants, contractors and customersManage design risk, compliance, change control and consultant commercial inputsSupport testing, commissioning and handover readiness
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering,



with postgraduate study in protection systems or substation design well regardedAdvanced HV/MV design knowledge across primary and secondary systems from 500kV to 22kV, SCADA and substation constructionStrong working knowledge of AEMO, TNSP and DNSP regulations, and Victorian AHJ requirementsSignificant substation experience, including leading design management across delivery phasesA track record leading multidisciplinary consultants, contractors and vendors on complex projectsConfidence presenting technical positions and recommendations to senior stakeholdersEstablished relationships with transmission network service providers and utilities
