Job Description

The Opportunity

Downer is seeking a Structural Project Engineer to support the delivery of construction projects within our Energy and Utilities Water business. Reporting to the Project Manager, this role will provide technicalexpertise,guidanceand advice across project delivery, helping ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with client, community, environmental and legislative requirements.

You will work closely with Construction Managers, Project Managers, Supervisors and Subcontractors, providing practical engineering input across planning, design, procurement, cost control, subcontractor management, qualityoutcomesand constructability reviews.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a structural/civil engineering professional who brings strong technical capability, sound commercialawarenessand a genuine commitment to safe, high-quality project delivery.





- An Engineering qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 3+ years' project engineering experience within the water and/or wastewater industry in SEQ.
- Experience managing subcontractors, developing scopes ofworkand supporting subcontract agreements.
- Demonstrated ability infinancial managementand reporting, including budgeting, costreportingand forecasting.
- The ability to develop and manage schedules while driving quality outcomes in project delivery.
- Clear and concise communication skills, strongorganisationand time management capability, and the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- A thorough approach, strong attention to detail and commitment to working within Downer's Zero Harm system.
