Full-time, ongoing position based at Joondalup & City Campus. Salary: $98,169 to $105,915 per annum (HEW 6) plus 17% superannuation. Open to candidates with relevant working rights.
About the Chance
The Student Service Lead plays a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless transition for students between all of the University's support services. This position is dedicated to providing an exceptional and accessible service, triaging enquiries, offering guidance and facilitating connections to various resources and departments within the University.
The role requires you to be the first point of contact for students, providing a welcoming and supportive environment, anticipating students’ holistic needs and ensuring that they receive the support they need as seamlessly as possible.
This on‑campus role requires ability to move safely around the work location, transition between sitting and standing, and maintain standing positions for extended periods while adjusting posture as needed.

Key Criteria
- A relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent experience, or an equivalent level of frontline support service expertise gained from a combination of experience and training in providing support services for current university students.
- Inclusive Service Delivery: Proven ability to deliver effective support through a CRM‑based case‑management system,
with a strong understanding of accessibility, inclusion, equity groups, and intersectionality. Demonstrated awareness of the barriers impacting student experience and the importance of tailored referral pathways.
- Customer Focus: Commitment to achieving high‑quality outcomes across all levels of customer interaction. This includes identifying needs, managing relationships, promoting services effectively, and continually refining approaches to meet evolving customer expectations.
- Problem Solving & Decision‑Making: Skilled in analysing complex issues, evaluating alternatives, and crafting innovative, practical solutions. Demonstrates a proactive approach to risk management and knows when to elevate decisions for optimal resolution.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to collaborate, foster positive relationships, and resolve conflicts constructively. Values diverse perspectives and engages in thoughtful dialogue that builds trust and shared understanding.
- Relationship Building: Demonstrated capacity to establish and sustain professional, meaningful relationships with both internal stakeholders and external community partners.
- Planning & Organising: Proficient in setting objectives, managing time and resources,
monitoring progress and driving continuous improvement – aligned with ECU’s Excellence Framework.
