Manage the grants function and grow revenue for Australia's longest-running arts festival. This is an prospect to shape how hundreds of thousands of people experience world-class performance, music, film, visual arts and literary events on the banks of the Derbarl Yerrigan (Swan River) each summer.

Founded by The University of Western Australia and grounded on Noongar Boodjar, we are uniquely placed to champion the oldest living cultures in the world alongside contemporary arts practice – commissioning major new works and engaging diverse audiences year after year.

About the Role

As the Senior Grants and Relationships Manager, you will lead Perth Festival's grant's function, responsible for securing, managing and growing revenue from grant sources including Lotterywest, Local Government Agencies, State and Federal Government programs, international funders and partners, and philanthropic foundations.

The role oversees the full grants lifecycle – from prospect research, proposals, reporting and acquittals. The role also contributes and supports broader Development department functions as needed.

What You'll Do





- Lead the development and implementation of Perth Festival's grants strategy.
- Identify and pursue grant opportunities from Lotterywest, Local Government Agencies, State and Federal Government bodies, international funders and partners, and philanthropic foundations.
- Develop annual grants plan, revenue, forecasts and a forward pipeline of opportunities.
- Manage Perth Festival's relationship with Lotterwest as a primary funding partner.
- Ensure compliance with all government funding requirements.
- Cultivate and maintain productive relationships with grant funders, program officers and government stakeholders.
- Prepare thorough, accurate and timely acquittal reports for all grant funding received.
- Support the Development Director and broader Development team on shared priorities, campaigns and events as needed.

About You

You are Senior Grants Manager leader with a track record of delivering the grants lifecycle through research to managing partner relationships. You'll bring:

- Demonstrated experience in grants writing, grants management or a related fundraising discipline.
- Proven success in securing grant revenue from government, Lotterywest or philanthropic funders.




- Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling, funder-ready applications.
- Strong understanding of grant acquittal, compliance and reporting requirements.
- Experience managing multiple grant deadlines and competing priorities simultaneously.
- Strong organisational and project management capabilities.
- Experience using CRM systems and grants management databases.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.

Would be great if you also have:

- Familiarity with Lotterywest funding programs, Local Government grant processes, in addition to State/Federal/international arts funding bodies.
- Tertiary qualification in Arts Management, Communications, Business or a related discipline.
- Experience supporting broader development functions including corporate partnerships or philanthropy.
- Knowledge of impact measurement, evaluation frameworks and outcome reporting.
- Experience within arts, festivals, cultural institutions or major events.
