We're looking for an experienced Infrastructure Services Manager to lead a high‐performing team responsible for the design, delivery and ongoing operation of enterprise infrastructure platforms. This is a hands‐on leadership role where you'll drive strategy, modernise infrastructure, mentor engineers and ensure the reliability, security and performance of critical technology services across a large national organisation.

Working within a well‐established Infrastructure & Cloud function, you'll lead a team of infrastructure specialists while partnering closely with architecture, cyber security, cloud and project delivery teams to deliver enterprise‐wide technology outcomes.

What you'll be doing

- Lead and mentor a team responsible for enterprise infrastructure, virtualisation, storage, backup and recovery platforms.
- Drive the design, implementation and continual improvement of core infrastructure technologies.
- Develop infrastructure roadmaps aligned with business and technology strategy.
- Ensure high availability, resilience and performance across critical platforms.
- Oversee workload planning, project delivery, forecasting and resource allocation.
- Champion Infrastructure as Code, automation, orchestration and Dev Ops practices.
- Improve operational processes, monitoring, documentation and governance.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders on technology initiatives and infrastructure transformation.




- Manage team performance, coaching, recruitment and career development.

What you'll bring

- Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.
- 8+ years' experience in Infrastructure Engineering.
- 5+ years leading or mentoring infrastructure engineering teams.
- Strong experience designing and supporting enterprise infrastructure environments.
- Deep technical expertise across:
- VMware and/or Hyper‐V
- Active Directory, DNS and DHCP
- Microsoft technologies including M365 and Entra ID
- Backup & Recovery solutions (Commvault highly regarded)

Nice to have

- Experience managing operational budgets.
- Experience working within large enterprise environments.
- Exposure to highly regulated industries such as healthcare, pharmaceuticals or logistics.
