About the role
The Learning & Teaching directorate at Eastern Health is seeking a motivated and experienced registered nurse (RN) to join the Specialist & Advanced Practice team for an exciting opportunity in the Neurology Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) role.
The role is based at Box Hill Hospital, a recognised centre for stroke care. The CNE role on Ward 7.1 is pivotal in providing leadership related to clinical change and development, education program delivery, and education and support of staff and learners, including Pre‑Registration, Graduate, Transition to Specialty Practice (TSP) and Postgraduate nursing students.
Responsibilities
Provide leadership for clinical change and development in neurology nursing.
Deliver education programs for nurses and learners.
Mentor and supervise nurses, students and novice clinicians.
About you
Current condition‑free Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) registration with AHPRA.
Relevant postgraduate qualification in neurology or critical care nursing (essential).
Minimum of three years of relevant clinical nursing experience with recent senior level experience (CNS or above).
Experience and expertise in mentoring and supervising learners and novice clinicians.
Ability to work autonomously with advanced skills in critical thinking, problem solving, organisation and prioritisation.
Excellent verbal and written communication,
with highly developed interpersonal skills.
Proficient IT skills and computer literacy.
Strong commitment to high-quality patient care and positive learner experiences.
