Our client is a large, established financial services organisation with a sophisticated, international investment platform and solid focus on governance, risk and long-term performance.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Head of Risk, this role sits within the Line 2 function and partners closely with the Investments team, providing independent oversight and challenge across a multi-asset portfolio. You will work with senior stakeholders to influence portfolio decisions and ensure risk frameworks are robust in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver Line 2 risk oversight and independent challenge across broad Investments portfolio
- Build and maintain portfolio risk analytics using Black Rock Aladdin
- Challenge portfolio construction, asset allocation and risk models
- Monitor exposures and identify emerging or unintended risk positions
- Lead controls testing, model validation and assurance activities
- Support incident, breach and regulatory reporting processes
- Partner with Investments, Risk and Audit stakeholders
- Drive ongoing improvements across risk frameworks and processes

Skills & Experience





- Background in Investment risk, Investment Operations or Actuarial
- Technically fluent across various coding languages
- Strong understanding of multi-asset portfolios and risk modelling
- Experience applying quantitative analysis to investment decisions
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- CFA, FRM or similar qualifications highly regarded
