Bawinanga Aboriginal Corporation is seeking a full-time RAES Employer Support Coordinator, based in Maningrida, NT.
This is a Maningrida-based role, with furnished housing provided.
Reporting to the Employment Services Manager, this role is responsible for supporting RAES participants and local employers through vacancy management, job placement and post-placement support.
The role works closely with employers across Maningrida and surrounding homelands to identify employment opportunities, support recruitment of local people, and help participants maintain employment once placed. This includes regular employer contact, participant follow-up, outcome tracking, evidence collection and completion of required RAES compliance and reporting tasks.
This is a practical, hands-on role for someone who can build strong relationships, stay organised, support people into work, and help employers retain local staff. The role is central to helping RAES participants move from training, Community Projects and workforce development activities into real employment outcomes.
- Supporting local employers to identify vacancies and recruit RAES participants
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with employers, participants, government representatives and internal BHAC teams
- Supporting participants to move from training, Community Projects and workforce development activities into employment
- Providing post-placement support to participants and employers to improve retention and workplace success
- Developing practical employment support plans for participants once placed into work
- Regularly checking in with employers and participants to monitor progress and address issues early
- Collecting payslips, leave forms and other documentary evidence required for employment outcomes and claims
- Using the ECSN system to monitor placements, compliance requirements and outstanding claims
- Supporting jobseekers with resumes, servicing calendars and employment preparation
- Coordinating participant expenditure, quotations and invoices in line with BHAC policy and approval processes
- Ensuring claims are followed up and submitted when evidence and contract requirements are met
- Supporting safe work practices and reporting incidents or concerns in line with BHAC and funder requirements
- Providing regular updates to the Employment Services Manager on placements, claims, risks and progress
About you
To be considered, you will ideally bring experience in employment services, employer engagement, case management, recruitment, community services or a related field.
You will be confident working with employers and participants, able to manage competing priorities, and comfortable working in a compliance-based service environment.
We also recognise that robust applicants may come from different backgrounds. Alongside formal experience, we value sound judgement, cultural capability, reliability,
practical problem-solving and the ability to work respectfully in a community-controlled environment.
The following experience and capabilities will be highly regarded:
- Experience working with Aboriginal people, organisations and/or remote communities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to build trust with employers, participants and internal teams
- Experience supporting people into employment or training pathways
- Ability to manage records, compliance tasks and outcome evidence accurately
- Good time management and administrative skills
- Experience using case management or government reporting systems
- Understanding of performance-based government contracts
- Ability to work respectfully and effectively in a culturally diverse team
- Current driver’s licence
- Current Ochre Card, or ability to obtain one
- Ability to obtain an NLC permit to work in Maningrida and surrounding homelands
As our ideal candidate, you will be practical, organised and relationship-focused. You will understand that employment outcomes in a remote community require more than simply matching someone to a vacancy. They require trust, follow-up, problem-solving, employer support and a strong understanding of the local context.
