Our client, a leading international law firm is seeking a Senior Lawyer to join its Conflicts and Client Risk function. This is a strong and interesting move for a lawyer who wants to step away from file work and into a role where judgement, negotiation and commercial thinking carry far more weight than process ever could.

The Role

Working within a high performing risk function, you will play a central role in how the firm manages conflicts of interest, ethical obligations and broader compliance matters connected to current and existing client relationships. You will be trusted to engage directly with partners and long standing global clients, applying real judgement to situations that rarely fit neatly into a policy manual.

This is not a tick box compliance role. The firm is looking for someone comfortable sitting in the grey area, someone who can think several steps ahead and land on practical solutions that protect the business while keeping important client relationships intact.

No two days will look the same, and the variety of matters that come across your desk will keep you engaged.

About You

To be considered,



you will need to be legally qualified with 3 to 5 plus years PAE, ideally gained in private practice. Backgrounds in litigation or regulatory law tend to translate particularly well into this kind of work, though strong candidates from other practice areas with solid private practice grounding will also be considered.

Robust negotiation skills and sound commercial instincts are essential, along with the confidence to speak directly with partners and senior leaders across the business. Discretion matters a great deal given the sensitivity of the work involved, as does knowing when to make a call yourself and when to bring someone else in.
