Nufarm is a global crop protection and seed technology company focused on helping farmers meet the challenges of food, feed, fibre and production. We are looking for an experienced Market Development Manager with an Agronomy or Agricultural Science background to join our Commercial team.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a technical thought leader in Western Australia, working closely with sales, marketing and R&D; to develop and execute product strategy.
- Demonstrate the features, advantages and benefits of Nufarm’s seed portfolio versus market standards and regional competitors.
- Develop and nurture relationships with growers, channel partners, agronomists, consultants, grower groups and other industry stakeholders to create demand for core products.
- Manage the Western Australia segment, including site selection, in‑crop management, data collation and reporting of trial results; coordinate pre‑launch to launch activities.
- Ensure high‑quality trial presentations during field days and tours and produce reliable data suitable for public disclosure.
- Collaborate with third‑party organisations to gain expertise on genetic and nutritional crop management backed by science.
- Communicate, engage, liaise and build interest with key leaders in the grower community.
- Share trial results and other relevant information with internal stakeholders, including the Nufarm team, area sales managers and R&D.;
- Attend and present at grower days and field days; support area sales managers in the field as required.
- Provide input to technical training for Nufarm staff, key influencers, consultants and growers; work with sales and development to ensure knowledge of seed varieties.
- Assist marketing in creating content specific to local regional requirements.
- Build knowledge of the rotational benefits of canola and partner with cropping groups and local influencers to drive adoption in marginal cropping areas.
- Contribute to regional and territory strategic and tactical planning through the Advancement Committee and Australian Crop Team.
Qualifications & Experience
- Background in Agronomy or Agricultural Science.
- Experience in commercial agricultural input sales within broadacre (winter) crops, especially canola.
- Solid communication and time‑management skills with the ability to influence through design and reporting.
- Customer‑focused, energetic and results‑driven with a passion for building relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to travel regularly within Western Australia and work flexibly from home.
