Working with several government clients in the South Australia region, this project management position will be responsible for running infrastructure IT projects working with the client while also delivering project management artefacts for both client and internal account governance.
The project manager will report through to an account project lead who will provide oversight and support in project assignments and ensuring governance and standards are maintained.
Essential Job Functions
- Experience with government agencies, departments and successful record of delivering IT Infrastructure and ITO projects in these environments is essential
- Manage and lead a portfolio of projects, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Collaborate with project teams to define clear project objectives and deliverables.
- Monitor project progress, identify and manage issues and risks, and implement corrective actions.
- Assist in resource allocation and budget monitoring.
- Prepare project status reports and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development and application of project management best practices.
- Drive teamwork and collaboration among project team members.
- Ensure that projects align with departmental and company strategies.
- Must have experience in running project with government clients
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Typically, 7+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role
- Proven experience in project and program management
- Proficiencies in project management methodologies, tools, and software
- A continuous learner that stays abreast with industry knowledge and technology
Other Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus.
- Relevant certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 are a plus
- Must be an Australian Citizen
