About the Role

Are you a skilled problem-solver with a talent for keeping complex operations running seamlessly? Do you excel in quick-paced environments and take pride in delivering outstanding service? If so, we invite you to bring your expertise to our team.

Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, the Rostering Officer plays a critical role in ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant workforce rostering across our residential aged care services. This is a dynamic position where your contribution will be felt across the entire organisation.

As our Rostering Officer, your key responsibilities will include:

- Coordinating daily rosters across nursing, personal care, hospitality, and lifestyle teams
- Responding promptly to unplanned absences and arranging suitable replacement staff
- Maximising the utilisation of internal employees and minimising agency engagement wherever possible
- Maintaining accurate workforce records and updating roster changes in real time
- Publishing future rosters a minimum of two weeks in advance
- Ensuring roster allocations meet operational requirements and AN-ACC staffing obligations
- Processing roster changes and timesheet updates to support accurate payroll processing




- Monitoring staffing trends, identifying workforce issues, and escalating concerns appropriately
- Preparing employee roster documentation, including Standard Shift Change Letters
- Providing timely communication and support to managers, employees, and agency providers
- Building and maintaining positive working relationships across residential sites and corporate teams
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the Rostering function

About You

We are seeking a highly organised, resilient, and detail-oriented professional who is genuinely committed to delivering excellence. You will bring energy, precision, and a proactive attitude that positively influences those around you.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

- Previous experience in a rostering or workforce scheduling role
- Experience within the aged care, healthcare, or community services sector (highly desirable)
- Sound knowledge of Aged Care Awards, Enterprise Agreements, and rostering best practice
- Strong organisational, administrative, and time management capabilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A high level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Proficiency in Humanforce workforce management software (highly desirable)
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively within a collaborative team environment
- Resilience, adaptability, and a customer-focused approach to service delivery

Pre-Employment Requirements

The successful applicant will be required to provide:

- A current National Police Clearance
- Evidence of current working rights in Australia
- Evidence of required vaccinations in accordance with Bene Aged Care policy
