We are seeking an experienced qualified Machinist to join our dynamic team at Caman Engineering. You will play a crucial role in our modern manufacturing operations, operating a variety of machines to produce high-quality components and parts. This is a full-time position based in Perth, WA.
What you'll be doing
- Setting up and operating lathes, borers, mills and other precision machinery to manufacture parts to detailed specifications.
- CNC programming and machining.
- Manual machining (subject to the applicants skill set).
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, work orders, and other technical documents to ensure accurate production
- Performing routine maintenance and adjustments on machines to maintain optimal performance
- Monitoring machine operations and making necessary adjustments to ensure consistent quality and productivity
- Collaborating with the production team to troubleshoot issues.
- Maintaining detailed production records and documentation
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a qualified Machinist, with a minimum of 2 years' hands-on experience operating lathes, borers, and other precision machinery
- Experience in CNC programming and machining techniques preferred but not essential.
- Manual machinists are also very welcome to apply.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and other technical documents
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Robust communication and teamwork skills
