About the role
Boundless Gardening Services is seeking an experienced Garden Maintenance Team Lead to join our growing team in Canberra, ACT. This role combines hands on work with an exciting opportunity to lead, inspire and manage a dedicated team of gardeners. As Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing daily garden maintenance operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery to our clients, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety across all projects. This role is pivotal in maintaining Boundless Gardening Services reputation with clients and stakeholders and you will play a critical part in driving our business forward.

Key responsibilities

- Team Leadership - Lead, motivate, and support a garden maintenance team, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality work.

- Work Planning - Allocate tasks and manage workflow to ensure work is delivered efficiently across multiple sites.

- Garden Maintenance - Perform and oversee mowing, pruning, weeding, mulching, planting, irrigation checks, and general garden care.

- Quality Assurance - Inspect completed work, uphold company standards, and ensure client satisfaction.

- Client Interaction - Communicate professionally with clients, respond to requests, and provide horticultural advice and planning when needed.

- Training & Development - Mentor staff, support skill development, and model safe work practices.

- Equipment Oversight - Ensure tools and machinery are maintained, safe, and ready for use.

- Safety Compliance - Implement WHS procedures and maintain a strong focus on safe working practices.

What we're looking for

- Horticultural Knowledge - Strong understanding of plants, soils, pruning techniques, and seasonal garden care.

- Leadership Experience - Prior experience supervising staff or leading small teams.

- Problem-Solving - Ability to assess garden issues and determine practical solutions.

- Communication - Clear, confident communication with both clients and team members.





- Time Management - Ability to manage your own and other team members workloads to deliver for clients within allocated times.

- Physical Capability - Able to perform outdoor manual work in varying weather conditions.

- Working With Vulnerable People Qualification and Valid Police Check - Or willingness to obtain

- Driver’s Licence - A valid driver's licence and reliable transport, while a trailer is preferred it is not a requirement of the job.
