About The Opportunity

Gunnedah District Hospital is a modern rural facility delivering high-quality healthcare services in a supportive and team-oriented environment.

An opportunity exists for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our inpatient unit caring for medical, aged care, occasional surgical and palliative care patients. Working within a friendly multidisciplinary team, you will provide safe, compassionate and person-centred care while contributing to positive patient outcomes.

As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver evidence-based care within your scope of practice, demonstrate sound clinical judgement, and confidently work both independently and as part of a team. Ongoing support is available through our Clinical Nurse Educator program, helping you continue to grow and develop professionally.

You are a compassionate, adaptable and reliable Registered Nurse who thrives in a supportive team environment. You bring strong communication skills, clinical confidence and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered NurseAbility to work effectively within an interdisciplinary teamStrong clinical reasoning, critical thinking and evidence-based practiceEffective communication and interpersonal skillsGood time management and ability to prioritise competing demands in a complex environmentComputer literacy, including electronic medical records and email systemsFlexibility, reliability and a strong team-focused approach
