Fully unrestricted VR GP looking for an opportunity in telehealth?
Earn up to $300/hr working from home with a minimum commitment of only 8 hours per week.
70% billings for standard consults and 85% billings for Mental Health Plans.
As a Telehealth GP, you will play a vital role in delivering accessible, high-quality primary healthcare services to patients across Australia through virtual consultations. This position is ideal for GPs seeking flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in modern healthcare delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Conducting remote video and telephone consultations with patients in accordance with best practice guidelines and regulatory requirements
- Assessing patient symptoms, providing diagnoses, and recommending appropriate treatment plans through telehealth platforms
- Prescribing medications and issuing digital referrals to specialists when necessary
- Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records for all patient consultations
- Ensuring compliance with privacy legislation, including the Privacy Act and Health Records Act
- Communicating effectively with patients and healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care
- Managing time efficiently to provide consultations within scheduled appointment slots
- Staying updated with current clinical guidelines and best practices in telehealth delivery
What we're looking for
- Current registration with the Australian Medical Practitioner Regulation Authorities (AHPRA) as a General Practitioner
- A valid Australian Medical Degree or equivalent recognised qualification
- Proven experience in general practice, with a minimum of 2 years post-graduation clinical experience preferred
- Proficiency in using telehealth platforms and digital medical record systems
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with patients in a virtual setting
- Excellent clinical knowledge and the ability to make sound diagnostic decisions with limited physical examination capabilities
- Reliability and professional conduct consistent with the Medical Board of Australia's Code of Conduct
- A reliable internet connection and a suitable home workspace to deliver consultations professionally
- Current professional indemnity insurance or the ability to obtain it
- Experience with bulk billing systems and Medicare processes is advantageous
