An Outstanding Chance for an Experienced Hotel Licensee

The Royal Hotel Tumut is seeking an experienced and motivated Hotel Licensee to lead all aspects of venue operations.

This is not an entry-level management position. We are looking for someone who has previously held the position of Licensee and understands what it takes to operate a successful licensed venue that delivers outstanding customer experiences while maintaining strong compliance, financial performance and community engagement.

About the Role

As Licensee, you will have responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the hotel, including:

- Leading and developing a high-performing team

- Delivering exceptional customer service across all departments

- Managing gaming, bar, TAB and food operations

- Driving venue profitability while maintaining excellent service standards

- Ensuring full compliance with NSW liquor, gaming and regulatory requirements

- Building strong relationships within the local community

- Managing labour, stock control, budgets and financial performance

- Maintaining presentation standards throughout the venue

- Creating a positive culture focused on accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement

About You

To be successful in this role you will possess:

- A minimum of five years' experience as a Hotel Licensee or Venue Licensee





- Demonstrated success managing a licensed hotel environment

- Strong knowledge of NSW gaming operations, TAB and wagering, bar operations and hospitality compliance

- Exceptional leadership and people management skills

- A proven ability to build and retain high-performing teams

- Strong financial acumen, including labour management, budgeting and cost control

- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills

- A genuine passion for regional hospitality and community involvement

- The ability to balance compliance, customer experience, team culture and commercial outcomes

Essential Requirements

Applicants must hold (or be able to immediately hold):

- Current NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)

- Current NSW Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG)

- NSW Approved Manager competency (or equivalent required for the role)

- Eligibility to hold and act as the venue's Hotel Licensee under NSW legislation

- Full Australian working rights
