QUESTIONS FROM OUR CHILDREN? (What they are looking for in an Educator)

- Do you like kids?

Our service is run by the Wishart State School P&C; Association. We offer Before School and After School Care as well as Vacation Care.

Expectations as an Educator:

- Effectively supervise and engage with the children in our care while also following our daily program which features art, craft and active play.

- Complete other daily tasks as rostered such as general cleaning duties,



food service and recording your observations and reflections.

- Build relationships with our children and families.

- Be a team player.

What we can offer:

- Flexible working hours – morning and afternoon shifts available.

- Permanent Part-Time contracts may be offered to the right applicant

- Uniforms and a uniform allowance are included.

What will you need:

- Hold a current Paid Blue Card or a willingness to obtain one immediately at his/her own expense.

- Minimum qualification requirement - working towards a Certificate III in Children's Services or equivalent qualifications

- Have a sound understanding of the National Quality Framework and My Time, Our Place.

- Be comfortable implementing and following policy and procedures.

- Be comfortable working as part of a team and providing/receiving constructive feedback.

- Be reliable, well organised and self-motivated.

- Have First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma qualifications relevant to Education and Care settings or be willing to undertake appropriate training

- First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma qualifications must be obtained within the probation period if not currently held.

- To complete all training mandatory to Wishart OSHC.

- Conditions of employment will be as per the Parents and Citizens Associations Award – State 2016, OSHC & Vacation Care stream.
