We are seeking a new Assistant Store Manager for our Barossa Fine Foods Hilton store.

As the face of our brand, you will deliver high quality customer service through knowledge of our products and a warm and professional approach. You will be involved in the preparation of products and replenishment of stock for sale, using knives and slicing machinery, while ensuring a clean and hygienic work environment is maintained.

- People management responsibilities such as: Supervision of employees in store, including task allocation, training and monitoring of performance

- Stock and special ordering

- Opening and closing procedures

- Strong customer service skills and passion to provide an exceptional shopping experience

- Cash reconciliation and banking

- Understanding of safety and quality assurance guidelines

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- To be able to work a Sunday to Thursday roster

- Desire to learn and grow with the Company

- Passion for high quality food products

- To be a friendly, approachable, and positive team player





- Excellent presentation skills

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

- Basic competency in Microsoft Office suite of programs

- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Main responsibilities include:

- Assist with supervision and management of employees, including task delegation in Store Managers absence

- Ensuring opening and closing procedures are being followed when required

- Cash reconciliation and banking when required

- Assist with stock ordering in Store Managers absence to meet customer demand and maintain display standards

- Ensure all employees are meeting business and legislative WHS and Food Safety requirements including keeping accurate training records

- Organising store maintenance when required

- Help ensure sales, wages, gross profit and stock waste targets are achieved as much as possible

- Dealing with customer complaints

- Training new employees

- Conflict resolution

- Providing employees with ongoing feedback as required
