Qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic

As our business continues to grow and expand, we're looking for a qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our growing team at our current Queanbeyan branch.

Any qualified light vehicle or plant mechanics looking for a change are also encouraged to apply! Wagga Trucks can assist you to transfer your skills to a heavy vehicle qualification with as little as only 45 days of TAFE to complete.

Main duties:

- Diagnose, service, and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspensions

- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and safety inspections

- Identify and rectify mechanical faults using diagnostic tools and equipment

- Maintain accurate service records and job cards

- Comply with all workshop safety standards and procedures

- Liaise with other team members and departments as needed

Requirements:





- Trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (Cert III or equivalent)

- Experience working on a range of heavy trucks

- Solid diagnostic and fault-finding abilities

- A commitment to safe work practices and quality standards
