About the Role
Join a skilled maintenance team responsible for keeping critical transport infrastructure operating safely and efficiently. This hands-on role suits experienced Mechanical Fitters who enjoy working with tools, solving mechanical issues and working outdoors.
Position: Fitter Grade 2 - $50.56 per hour + Super
Location: Milsons Point
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 9 Months with possible extension
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out mechanical fitting and maintenance work
- Use hand and power tools safely
- Inspect, repair and replace mechanical components
- Complete preventative and breakdown maintenance
- Follow safety procedures and site requirements
- Record completed maintenance activities
- Work effectively within a team
- Maintain a clean and protected work area
About You
- Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (Fitting/Machining)
- Current White Card
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Able to work independently and within a team
- Working at Heights ticket highly regarded
- First Aid Certificate highly regarded
- Ability to pass a National Criminal History Check and provide two references
- Full Australian working rights required.
