The Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Civil Engineering skilled to provide technical leadership and design management across a diverse portfolio of large-scale mining, energy, and infrastructure projects. This role requires extensive civil engineering design expertise, strong project delivery capabilities, and proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams on complex engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and mentor a team of civil engineers and designers, ensuring project deliverables meet client requirements, relevant regulations, quality standards, schedule commitments, and budget objectives.

- Take ownership of the technical delivery of civil engineering scopes across major resource and infrastructure projects, including:

- Access roads and transport infrastructure

- Site development and construction platforms

- Bulk and detailed earthworks

- Pipeline corridors and associated facilities

- Mining and industrial support infrastructure

- Participate in project and client meetings, prepare progress reports, and ensure compliance with quality assurance and checking procedures.

- Review and clarify project requirements, identify scope changes, and support effective change management processes.

- Conduct engineering studies, analyses, calculations, and technical assessments to develop practical and efficient engineering solutions.

- Prepare and review technical documentation and project deliverables throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.

- Support procurement activities,



including bid clarification, tender evaluation, vendor document review, and technical approvals.

- Manage project scope and coordinate resources to ensure successful project execution.

- Facilitate collaboration across geographically dispersed teams and disciplines to achieve integrated project outcomes.

- Resolve technical and commercial issues proactively while maintaining alignment with client requirements.

- Stay informed of industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices in civil engineering.

- Foster effective communication and stakeholder engagement throughout project delivery.

- Identify project risks and challenges, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate issues where appropriate.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

- Minimum 15 years of experience in civil engineering design and project delivery within the mining, energy, resources, infrastructure, or related sectors.

- Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams and delivering projects under challenging schedules and competing priorities.

- Strong understanding of relevant local and international engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.





- Experience delivering civil design solutions across multiple project phases, from concept and feasibility studies through to detailed design and execution.

- Proficiency in civil design and drafting software such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, and 12d is advantageous.

- Strong capability using Microsoft 365 and digital collaboration platforms.

- Proven ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary and geographically dispersed teams.

- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or equivalent professional accreditation is highly desirable.
