RIVERLAND STUDENT SUPPORT OFFICER – Murray River Study Hub Program
Fixed Term Contract – 2 years, 0.6FTE
The Rural City of Murray Bridge is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, innovative, outcomes-driven person to undertake the role of Riverland Student Support Officer - Murray River Study Hub program in a part time contract role.
The Murray River Study Hub (Study Hub) provides opportunities for regional students to pursue post-secondary school education including tertiary and VET alternatives without having to travel or relocate.
The Study Hub is committed to increasing locally supported delivery of higher education in the region through providing greater accessibility, and a supportive environment for students in the communities, and in turn, helping to meet the growing workforce needs of local industry.
Position Overview
The Riverland Student Support Officer provides local support to current and prospective students and assists in the delivery of day-to-day Study Hub services from the Berri campus.
The position supports student engagement, promotional activities and community outreach initiatives and contributes to the effective operation and positive reputation of the Study Hub program.
Key Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Regional Study Hub Manager, responsibilities of this role include:
- Ensuring campus facilities and premises provided for students are welcoming, safe and fit for purpose.
- Deliver responsive, professional and customer-focused service to students, prospective students and stakeholders.
- Provide a local point of contact for study and career pathway guidance for potential students.
- Provide pastoral (non-course specific) and administration support for registered students.
- Create and facilitate onsite promotional events to support current and prospective students.
- Ensure student information is recorded accurately and maintained in accordance with privacy and reporting requirements.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Knowledge and experience in Education sector, higher education or training
- Experience supporting the delivery of projects, programs or community initiatives
- Excellent interpersonal communication and ability to contribute positively and effectively
- Demonstrated ability to work independently within established procedures
- Strong local networks within the Riverland
- A driver’s license

The position is offered as a 0.6FTE, fixed term, 2-year contract at General Officer Level 3 in accordance with the South Australian Municipal Salaried Officers Award and Council’s current Enterprise Agreement within an annual salary range of $85,124.00 to $91,920.92 pro rata dependent upon skills, knowledge and experience.
