ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a motivated and energetic team member to support our timber, plasterboard, and trade sales operations. This is a hands-on role that combines customer service, warehouse operations, and stock handling in a fast-paced environment.
You will be involved in loading and unloading products, picking and packing orders, serving customers at the trade counter, and ensuring our yard and warehouse areas are maintained to a high standard.

Our store operates six days per week, and this role may require Saturday work on a rostered basis.
RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE
These roles will see a few different tasks to undertake,
including which may include stock handling and storage, keeping yard area maintained in a safe manner, collating and loading customer orders and assisting with retail counter sales and transporting and unloading heavy building materials.
- Safely handle and store stock to minimise damage and wastage
- Pick, pack, collate, and load customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements
- Assist customers with trade and retail sales enquiries, providing product knowledge and advice
- Conduct customer deliveries as required
- Ensure goods are accurately checked and matched against delivery documentation
- Operate plant, equipment, and vehicles safely and in line with company policies
- Assist with moving, relocating, and loading heavy building materials
- Participate in regular product training with leading industry brands
- Support other departments and team members as required
- Contribute to high standards of customer service and branch presentation
- Add value to our customers' building projects through exceptional service and industry knowledge
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Previous experience in hardware, timber, plasterboard, or the building industry is highly regarded, and experience handling heavy building materials is essential.
You are a confident and reliable team player who enjoys working with customers and thrives in a physically active role.
- Current Forklift Licence (LF) - Essential
- Current Manual Driver Licence - Essential
- Demonstrated forklift operating experience in a busy work environment
- Physically fit with the ability to safely lift and manually handle products
- Robust attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities
- Well-developed organisational and time management skills
- Positive attitude with a strong focus on teamwork and customer service
