Port Removals

Port Macquarie

Run the calendar of a removals company that's been moving Australians since 1992.

Port Removals & Storage is a family-run removals and storage company: over half a million moves, 4.7-star rated, our own trucks and trained crews running the east coast from the Sunshine Coast to Melbourne. Our fleet is growing, and our forward book is filling weeks ahead. We need the person who turns booked jobs into brilliantly planned runs.

About the role

You own the schedule. Every booked move lands on your desk, and you build it into full, efficient truck runs: pairing jobs heading the same way, locking in dates, briefing the crews, and keeping every customer informed from the day they book to the day we arrive. You are part transport allocator, part customer care, and the whole operation runs to the plan you build.

What your day looks like

- Managing the forward book in our scheduling system: every job entered, checked and locked before it's built into a run

- Building runs that make sense: pairing same-corridor jobs into the same truck, filling every departure

- Verifying every booking properly: addresses checked on Google Maps and Street View for truck access, customer details confirmed, nothing left for the crew to discover on the morning

- Calling every new customer within 24 hours of booking to welcome them, confirm their details, and walk them through what happens next

- Keeping customers informed with a set rhythm: week-before contact, day-before call with times and their crew leader's name

- Publishing tomorrow's run sheets for the crews every afternoon: trucks, jobs in order, access notes, special items

- Tracking deliveries owed from interstate runs and making sure every one lands inside its promised window

Why this role matters

A well-paired truck earns nearly double a half-planned one. The pairing happens at your desk, nowhere else. In this company, the scheduler isn't admin support; you're the air traffic controller the whole operation flies on.

About you

- Experience in transport scheduling, allocation, dispatch, logistics or operations coordination is highly valued

- A geography brain: you can look at a map and see a sensible run

- Genuinely good with customers on the phone: warm, clear and reassuring, because this role talks to every customer we book

- Detail-obsessed: wrong addresses and missed notes are your natural enemies

- Calm with lots of moving parts, and organised enough to keep them all moving

What's in it for you

- $65,000 + super, full-time, office-based in Port Macquarie

- A family-run team that's been at this since 1992, now in a genuine growth phase: more trucks, bigger runs, and a role that grows with the fleet

- Up-to-date systems (industry scheduling software plus CRM) and full training on our way of working

- The satisfaction of a schedule you built running like clockwork, every single day

How to apply

Apply through Seek with a short note about the most moving parts you've ever kept organised at once. We respond to every application.
