ROSTERING OFFICER

The Opportunity
You will play a critical role in this rapid-paced environment with your decision-making skills and guidance. Collaborating with various stakeholders to optimise resource allocation while maintaining a high level of service and quality for our clients. The role will require you to have daily interactions with various departments to meet operational needs and to best match client needs with Disability Support Workers.
As a Rostering Officer your daily responsibilities will include:
- Creating and managing templates aligning with Roster of Care (ROC) for our clients.
- Assisting with the generation of rosters six weeks in advance to meet the Social, Community, Housing and Disability (SCHADS) Award requirements.
- Monitoring staff allocations to ensure resources are utilised effectively, contracted hours are met, overtime and Award requirements are complied with, and agency usage is minimised, enabling the delivery of the highest standard of care.
- Collaborating with different departments to meet business goals and maintain transparent communication channels and provide reports when needed.
- Ensuring rostering is fair, balanced, and aligned with support worker safety, participant compatibility, and work-life balance requirements.
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience in Rostering (preferably in a healthcare setting).
- An understanding and passion for working in a person-centered organisation.
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
- Working knowledge of the SCHADS Award
- High level communication skills, both written and verbal, interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with a wide variety of stakeholders.
- Flexibility - out of office work, including weekends will be required.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Attention to detail.
Essential Requirements
- NDIS Workers Check Clearance.
- Working Rights/Visa/Passport.
Skills
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Have experience in coordinating services in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
