About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Area Manager to join our growing team. As Area Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational and strategic management of multiple childcare and outside school hours care facilities within your designated area. This role is crucial to ensuring we deliver exceptional care and education services whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and quality across all our services.

What you'll be doing

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple childcare centres, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations

- Manage centre performance against key performance indicators and strategic objectives

- Recruit, train, develop and support centre managers and staff across the area, fostering a culture of continuous improvement

- Conduct regular centre visits and quality audits to maintain service standards and identify areas for enhancement

- Manage budgets and financial performance for assigned centres, optimising resources and controlling costs

- Build and maintain strong relationships with families, local communities, and stakeholders

- Ensure all centres maintain up-to-date documentation, policies and procedures in line with organisational standards

- Manage health and safety compliance, incident reporting and risk management across all facilities

- Drive quality improvements and implement best practice initiatives across the area

- Support centre managers in curriculum development and educational programming

- Manage staffing issues, performance management and professional development programmes

- Liaise with external agencies, government bodies and regulatory authorities as required

What we're looking for

- Minimum 1 year experience in childcare or education sector management,



with demonstrated experience managing multiple services

- Strong knowledge of current childcare legislation, regulations and quality standards including the National Quality Standard (NQS) and Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations

- Proven leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams

- Excellent financial acumen and experience with budget management and P&L; responsibilities

- Demonstrated experience in quality improvement and implementing best practice initiatives

- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

- Experience with childcare management systems and Microsoft Office applications

- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or ability to obtain one

- Current driver's licence and reliable transport

- Relevant qualifications such as a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Childcare, Early Childhood Education or equivalent industry experience
