Backed by years of experience and a skilled construction team, we deliver safe, effective, and high-quality builds with a focus on longevity and compliance. We are seeking highly skilled Roofers to join our team on a full time and permanent basis The role includes but is not limited to:

Responsibilities

- Read blueprints, estimate materials, and collaborate with team members to complete projects on time
- Conduct accurate site measures before erecting scaffolding, cutting and installing roof materials such as insulation, waterproof underlays, sheet metal and protective paint
- Inspect structure of roofs in order to determine the best course of action
- Provide clients with estimates on labor costs and materials required to fix or build a roof
- Remove old roofing materials and prepare the roof surface for new installation
- Measure and cut materials to ensure that they fit securely around vents, gutters, chimneys, and walls




- Smooth out rough spots on roofs to prepare the surface for new shingles or waterproofing
- Install vapor barriers and insulation to create a more waterproof seal
- Adhere to strict safety guidelines, work at heights, and use personal protective equipment
- Safely setting up ladders, scaffolding, and hoisting equipment as required
- Install and/or replace valleys, gutters, ridge and all associated rain water goods
- Update the supervisor on job progress and reporting any problems related to the job
- Safely transporting all required equipment and materials to job sites
- Ensure site is tidy and safe at all times
- Safe disposal all roofing materials

Requirements

- Trade qualified and have proven work experience in the same field
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks like lifting heavy materials and working in various weather conditions
- Understanding of different roofing materials, installation techniques, and relevant safety and building codes
- Knowledge in operating wide range of hand tools and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to conduct quality checks on completed work
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete assigned tasks
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace
- Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with clients
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent reporting skills
- Self-motivated, organised, punctual and reliable
- Must have great work ethics
