ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

As MOB Academy continues to grow, we're looking for two (2) passionate and innovative Curriculum Writers to help create learning that truly connects with our boys. If you're inspired by designing engaging, practical and purposeful curriculum that meets students where they are, builds confidence and celebrates progress, this could be the role for you.

Collaborating and working alongside a dedicated team, you'll develop high-quality curriculum resources that support exceptional teaching and learning for MOB Academy and Explicit MOB Instruction (EMI).



The role designs evidence-informed Explicit Instruction lesson sequences and develops Connected Curriculum units that align with the Australian Curriculum, Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) requirements, and MOB’s Philosophy and pedagogy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Write comprehensive Explicit Instruction lesson plans that support consistent, evidence-informed classroom practice.

- Develop unit plans, lesson sequences, learning activities and supporting classroom resources.

- Ensure curriculum resources align with curriculum content descriptions, achievement standards and agreed EMI frameworks.

- Design authentic learning experiences that connect curriculum content to real-world contexts.

- Support curriculum coherence while maintaining the integrity of subject-specific learning in Years 7–12.

- Work collaboratively with Deputy Principal – Curriculum & Pedagogy, Head of Senior & Junior and teachers to develop curriculum resources.

- Maintain current knowledge of the Australian Curriculum (Version 9.0), relevant QCAA requirements and evidence-informed teaching practices.

ABOUT YOU

- Current Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) Registration or eligibility to obtain registration





- Demonstrated experience teaching in a secondary school (Years 7-12)

- Experience developing curriculum, unit plans, and teaching resources aligned with the Australian Curriculum

- Strong understanding of the Australian Curriculum (Version 9.0) and relevant QCAA requirements

- Demonstrated knowledge and application of Explicit Instruction and evidence-informed teaching practises

- Current Working with Children Check

- Availability for an immediate start for the right candidate/s
