About the role

We’re currently looking for a friendly, well‑organised, patient‑focused Patient Administration Officer to join the dynamic team at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Northside (Chermside). The position is a permanent full‑time role (38 hours minimum per fortnight) and involves providing exceptional service to patients, specialists and visitors while ensuring a seamless and efficient patient journey across all areas of Patient Administration.

Key responsibilities

- Ensure a smooth and productive patient journey across all patient administration areas.
- Deliver outstanding patient care through effective communication and attention to detail.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
- Support clinicians and visitors by providing courteous and professional service.

Key qualifications & skills

- Friendly, well‑organised, and patient‑focused attitude.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability and adaptability.
- Highly developed interpersonal, organisational and time‑management skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- High level of computer skills, including Microsoft Office packages.
- Prior experience in a health‑care setting and knowledge of WebPAS or other patient management systems is advantageous.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology.

Schedule & flexibility





Full‑time employment with the ability to work on a 24‑hour, 7‑day roster, day/evening/night shifts and flexibility to work at off‑site locations at North Lakes and Chermside if required, supporting a good work‑life balance.
