Doina Engineering and Construction is a leading Steel Fabrication company that has been established for over 25 years.
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Fitter/ Machinist to join our workshop team.
The successful applicant will be responsible for operating our CNC Drilling/Plasma cutting Machine, Lathe and Milling machines.
Carry machine maintenance fitting of mechanical components and strip down and re-assembly of wheel Bogie's components for the mining industries.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and set up CNC Plasma and CNC Drilling/Profile Machines.
Load and unload steel plate and structural sections using overhead cranes
Read and interpret engineering drawings.
Perform basic Lathe and Milling duties
Remove and fit bearings and slides to maintain machine operation and carry lubra
Dis-assemble and re-assemble Drive bogies with current bearings , Labyrinths and seals




Conduct quality inspections and dimensional checks.
Work safely and comply with company procedures.
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in mechanical fitting and CNC and manual machining .
Ability to read engineering drawings and fabrication plans.
Experience using overhead cranes (preferred).
Forklift licence (desirable).
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
