We're partnering with a large government organisation that’s undertaking a significant overhaul of its Safety Management System (SMS), and they’re looking for a seasoned Senior Safety Advisor to help drive the journey.

This isn't a role where you'll sit on the sidelines writing reports. You'll be at the centre of the action working alongside senior leaders, influencing strategy, and rolling up your sleeves to deliver practical, sustainable safety outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing

Working closely with the Safety Project Manager, you'll help design, enhance and embed critical elements of the organisation's Safety Management System by:

- Developing and improving safety frameworks, policies and procedures
- Translating legislation into practical, user-friendly processes
- Implementing safety systems, assurance frameworks and operational controls
- Partnering with leaders and stakeholders to drive adoption and engagement
- Supporting audits, risk management initiatives and continuous improvement activities
- Bridging the gap between strategy and execution to deliver meaningful change

About You





You're a confident safety professional with a track record of leading improvement in complex environments.

You’ll bring:

- Experience as a Senior Safety Advisor, WHS Advisor or Safety Business Partner
- Strong knowledge of OHS legislation, compliance obligations and ISO45001
- Experience developing or enhancing Safety Management Systems (SMS)
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Capability across risk management, audits, incident investigations and assurance
- Strong writing skills and experience creating policies, procedures and governance documentation

Most importantly, you're practical, solutions-focused and know how to turn compliance requirements into real-world safety outcomes.
